Happy Belated Birthday!

So as some of you may know (I didn't until a friend texted me), yesterday was Skyrim's birthday!

The Great Gatsby (2013) Based on the book of F. Scott Fitzgerald He smiled understandingly—much more than understandingly. It was one of those rare smiles with a quality of eternal reassurance in it, that you may come across four or five times in life. It faced--or seemed to face--the whole external world for an instant, and then concentrated on you with an irresistible prejudice in your favor.

There are many varying opinions regarding Cicero, Keeper of the Night Mother. Many people hate him and just as many people love him. Those who hate him question others' love for him, not understanding why we cherish him so.

*Spoilers Ahead*

I am not devoid of fault in this case. In my initial play-through I killed him. However, upon reading his journals I discovered his secrets and his soul. It took me time to read them, dozens of levels later actually, and when I did I hated myself for what I had done. I had wholeheartedly believed in Astrid and was betrayed so I had regretted killing him anyway, but once I had read his journals I hated myself so much more than I hated Astrid for what she had done. I prayed to Sithis to bring him back to me as I had seen the error of my ways, and thankfully, I was blessed (I console-commanded him back to life). However, his body still lies where I murdered him and continues to haunt me to this very day.

Especially considering the deaths of all the other Dark Brotherhood members, I regretted diminishing our already petite numbers even before I had read his journals. I am not the only one to have faced this realization and I hope that those who choose to read his journals find comfort in knowing that they aren't the only ones.

Mod Monday - Save the Dark Brotherhood! Spoiler Alert

So I have been in max "Hail Sithis!" mode for the past few days and in that spirit I'd like to talk about the dearly departed family members...

Oh! Wait! As with everything, there's a mod for that,

Save the Dark Brotherhood by PrinceShroob!

Yes, really! You can actually save the fallen members! You don't even have to save all of them! You can pick and choose who lives and who dies! And once they have been saved they relocate to Dawnstar (like they should) and are available for recruitment (and marriage). As a bonus the members will still communicate as they used to in Falkreath! They'll talk about their missions and adventures, even with the members who initially survived the fiasco.

I love this mod. I was so depressed when the DB was massacred. They were my family. I loved them all, even Arnbjorn! (I still love Astrid. I understand why she did it but I don't approve. She's just so badass!)
